WHEN IS THE LAST TIME A MUSEUM collection actually came to you? Probably never, but that’s about to change. The New Jersey Mobile Museum brings the New Jersey Hall of Fame anywhere in the Garden State. “We bring the museum to you,” says Lisa Fielding, partnership director at the New Jersey Hall of Fame.
Designed by Hall of Fame inductee Michael Graves, the mobile museum tells the stories of celebrated New Jerseyans and expands to a walk-through space of almost 1,000 square feet. There is even a replica of Bruce Springsteen’s lyric-laden journal that visitors can leaf through for inspiration. The exhibit is updated periodically. Reservations for the mobile museum, which takes three hours to set up and two hours to shut down, can be made online. “It’s the story of New Jersey’s greatness,” Fielding adds. Visitors from any state are guaranteed to come away enlightened.
